My father was diagnosed with Dementia & Alzheimer's almost 5-years ago. in 2011, we had to move Dad to Seven Acres where he lived for over 4-years - on the Alzheimer's floor. The care and compassion shown to him during these last years was so much more than we could have hoped. We were at peace knowing he was treated with respect and love. We want to thank the entire staff, and especially those on the 2nd floor Miller unit for their love. Dad passed away a few weeks ago and the outpouring of caring meant more than they could ever possibly know.

SEVEN ACRES JEWISH SENIOR CARE IS:

MY ONE HOUR REVIEW DISAPPEARED, SO I'M MAKING THIS SHORT.

THE PATIENT I VISITED IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD AND NOT BEING CARED FOR PROPERLY. I HAD TO GET A WASH CLOTH DOWN THE HALL AND CLEAN HIS FACE AND EYES AN HAD HIM CLEAN HIS HANDS AS WELL. I ALSO WENT OUT AND LOOKED FOR TISSUE AS HE WAS COUGHING.

HE TOOK HIS DENTURES OUT AND I FOUND THEM TO BE FILTHY; I GAVE THEM A GOOD WASHING. I TOOK THE WATER BOTTLE FROM THE FLOOR AND AFTER CHECKING IT, I FOUND IT TO BE FILTHY AS WELL. IT HAD BLACK GUNK IN AND OUT OF THE CAP. I CLEANED IT AS WELL AS I COULD, PUT FRESH WATER, AND GAVE HIM SOME WATER BEFORE I LEFT. HE SEEMED VERY THIRSTY.

AS I STEPPED BACK IN THE ROOM, THERE WAS AN UNBEARABLE, HORRID SMELL ALL OVER. I ASKED FOR SOME DISINFECTANT SPRAY AND THE NURSING STATION ATTENDANT TOLD ME THERE WAS NONE AVAILABLE, IT WAS THE CLEANING PEOPLE WHO SHOULD KEEP THE ROOM CLEAN. NO SENSE OF THAT ANSWER. I ASKED ONE OF THE STAFF TO GO CHECK THE ROOM; SHE CLAIMED THERE WAS NO SMELL. AS SHE WALKED OUT, SHE CURLED UP HER NOSE, AND MOTIONED OVER TO THE OTHER PATIENT AND SAID IT WAS PROBABLY HIM. SHE SHOWED UP, SPRAYING THE ROOM. WHERE'S THE HYGIENE CARE FOR PATIENTS?

THE SAME OLD STORY. THERE'S STAFF, BUT NO ONE CARES TO DO THEIR WORK. NO COMPASSION. I BLAME ADMINISTRATION. THERE SHOULD BE MEETINGS ON A REGULAR BASIS, STRESSING NO TOLERANCE FOR NEGLECT. IF YOU'RE FOUND SLACKING OFF, THERE WILL BE A CONSEQUENCE.

REMEMBER, WHEN THE LORD COMES, THERE WILL BE NO TIME FOR REPENTING. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS WORLD?
