Smith and Hassler will abandon you!! Please avoid at all costs. At 1st they were vey nice regarding my accident case (injury only they didn't car about property damage) but as the other drivers insurance got tough Smith and Hassler got rude and treated me as a problem instead of a client that trusted them. I was hit by an 18 wheeler so I suppose they saw easy $$ but when it got tough I would call weekly (once a week) for an update and never get a call back. My car was banged up for over a month until I shelled out $2000 and fixed it on my own due to very unsafe driving conditions. The other insurance company found a petty loophole to place 51% liability on me which is fine but Smith and Hassler never even had the decency to let me know this nor have they ever contacted me to say they will no longer proceed with my case. NOTHING at all. The other drivers insurance company told me the results and seemed shocked herself that my own lawyers hadn't even informed me. This review is not becaue I am upset with the decision of liability because that is fine with me. The worst part of this whole ordeal is Smith and Hasslers complete disregard of someone they called a client. Again, avoid at all costs, find a lawyer who cares.

Unfortunately, I took a fall in a Home Depot store and hurt my knee badly. On the up side of things, I found Daragh Carter at Smith & Hassler. What a blessing! Daragh helped me through the entire claims process. He is a gentleman & a scholar. Thanks to the people like him at Smith & Hassler; now I don't have to worry how I'm going to pay my medical bills. He helped me recover those expenses and then some. I highly recommend this firm, as they are extremely knowledgeable and helped to make the entire process painless. Thanks Smith & Hassler and Daragh for the great work you did for me.

Don't use them is all I have to say. I was a client and they held on to 25,000 dollars and kept the interest and still charged me 33% for 5 months. They never would return my phone calls and the receptionist is rude. Every time we called to talk to our so-called attorney, he was, "out of the office." We had to call and get things moving with our insurance company even though he claimed he was touching base with them twice a week. LIAR!!!!!....My daddy was right about lawyers...let's just leave it at that!
