Dr. Lauren Ta was raised in California before moving to Louisiana, where she attended Louisiana State University ? Baton Rouge and The LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston in 2001 and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and Vietnamese American Medical Association. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ta specializes in and general obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic surgery and management of gynecologic disease processes at every age. Her additional expertise includes hormone replacement therapy which includes bioidentical options. She frequently gives presentations on stress, hormones, PCOS and nutrition. . Dr. Ta is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. Dr. Ta received the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award, which honors physicians who treat patients with the utmost kindness. For several years, she received the Patient?s Choice Award which reflects the positive difference a particular physician has made in the lives of his/her patients. She was also voted the Best Women?s Healthcare Provider in 2011 for the Bellaire, West University and River Oaks regions. Other honors bestowed on her by patients include several ZocDoc awards. She currently practices at Women?s Specialty Healthcare at 7400 Fannin, suite 930 and is affiliated with The Woman?s Hospital of Texas. During her time off, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter and volunteering at her children?s school. Her other hobbies include traveling, exercising and baking.
