I was in need of a decent car but I don't have much money. I went to Talisman and much to my surprise they were able to get me financed at a payment that I can afford. I never thought they could get me financed because of my poor credit. I have been turned down several times, but they said yes. I love my Nissan Altima! This has made my life so much better. THANK YOU TALISMAN MOTOR CITY!

RUN AWAY

I came to talisman in hopes of finding a nice reliable car. Last year march 29 2014 I came to talisman and I was able to get approved by myself since I'm only 24 and my credit is kinda low. I had a choice of about 4 cars but I chose the one that fit me best which was the 2002 Chrysler 300. I fell in love with the car and and drove it off the same day. About 2 weeks later I called to complain about my car shaking whenever I stopped at a light or something. I brought it in and needed two new front tires. A week later I was back because the rotors needed to be cut.... A week later the sensor in my front tire went out and breaks started going out and the traction light came on... They fixed it but I had to pay 180 for the break repair and the deductible. In beginning November I was on my way to them to make a payment when my check engine light came on and the car stopped. I had to get it towed to them they kept it about a week and I HAD TO CALL THEM to see what the problem was. Joey called me back and said my engine was bad. And since it was the holidays to come down and he'd put me n another car and he'd waive the down payment.... Well duhhh as well u should waive it. They put me into a 2008 grand Prix by the end of November. 3 days later my check engine light came on I brought it back to find out NEITHER of my headlights were working... Carlos told me to come back cuz he had to order a headlight switch and it would take a week brought it back and that still did nothing. So "it had to be something electrical" they put me n a loaner which sucked and I got my car back about2 weeks later. the headlights were working that day and cut off the next day. They put me n another loaner for 3 weeks I got my car back the lights worked for that first day and cut off the next day. Now I'm in another loaner where the breaks sound like its gonna give out any day. Next step I'm contacting a lawyer this place is a rip off. Their cars suck but joy will hound u for your payment.... Run away please. And if u do decide to go here I wish u the best....

I went there a few weeks ago looking to purchase a vehicle. I have less than perfect credit and didn't mind financing through them. I was given 4 options (Equinox, HHR, Hyundai Sonata and Pontiac Grand Prix. Each of those cars were older models, which was fine, but the insides were nasty. With stains on the floor and rips in the leather seats. I decided to look at the 2006 Chevy Equinox and test drive it. It drove okay, but there was a CD stuck in the CD player, the overhead light was broken and the sunroof didn't work. While they promised to fix it, the car was a straight up hoopty, but was the best of the bunch. We went inside to figure my monthly payments and they wanted 13k for this vehicle. Yes. 13K for an 06 Chevy Equinox with all of those problems, dirty and with 115k+ miles on it. So for 3 years, they wanted 411 per month. They offered to lower it to 375 for me, but I didn't want a hoopty. It wasn't worth the price and payments and I'm glad I decided against it. I have a 2011 Chevy HHR, very clean, low miles and reliable, still under warranty and the same price I would've paid for a "lemon".

ZERO STARS

Stuck in a contract with this company. told by Mr. Talisman himself that all he wanted was to make sure I felt safe in my car. FALSE! One of the most horrible, unorganized companies I have ever worked with. When I bought my vehicle I didn't notice anything off until I started driving it regularly. I found out the speakers were originally broken when I purchased the vehicle. I only noticed cause the sound was so loud when they cut back in. All I got were excuses such as "well, you have had the car for a few months already so how do we know they werent broken when you bought it". the locks have stopped working multiple times. I was told they sent it to the chevy place to get the manufacturer to fix it. they conveniently stopped working again after my warranty ended. The people who work there will say one thing on the phone then try to make you out to be crazy when you get there by acting as if they have no idea what you are talking about. I requested the work orders and names of all the people who have worked on my car. I have been requesting this information for a yr now. Everytime I call, Im told that they will see what they can do and call me back. No one ever calls back. I was told by sarah that she was advised by their attorney and she didn't have to give me that information. Now, is it just me or does it seem like they got something to hide? Either that or they haven't been keeping proper records and do not know. I'm guessing a little bit of both. I took my car to be serviced and ask them to tell me if anything needed to be done to it. They keep it forever and when I would return to pick it up they would tell me they really didn't do much to it or that nothing could be found. The last time I take it in they say it needs a MAJOR tune up plus some stuff. I asked "for all the times I've asked if it needed anything...how did it go from nothing wrong to needing a major tune up?" they tried to quote me at 700 JUST for the tune up. I went to a master mechanic I knew and he was able to do the rotors, brakes, tune up, etc. all for 700 bucks. I originally took in my car the last time because the psi sensors weren't Working properly. I tried to explain to the mechanic and sarah that the back sensor was reading the front tire and the front sensor was reading the back tire. I had my mechanic double and triple check this. He agreed with me. When I called to complain I was told that it was impossible because the senosors only go on one way. I asked, "then why is this happening?" The only response I got from joey was "that's impossible I don't know what to tell you" these are the reasons I asked for my work orders. To make sure the work was actually being done since they won't let you watch them work on your vehicle. just a few of the multiple problems I have encountered with this company and the company owner refuses to speak with me on any of these matters. I'm now stuck in a piece of crap car that was made to look nice on the eye and will continue to be in this contract paying 200 every two weeks until payed off. I refuse to give the car back so they can just resell it to some other poor soul. They will be nice and make you feel like you can depend on them until you sign that paper. Then its all down hill. I told them that I would like to handle this between us but, if they couldn't be civil and work with me then I would have to consult an attorney on what to do. Now, they refuse to work with me at all. they also do not report to all three credit companies. it doesn't show up as a car loan. Just shows I'm making small payments to some company. I found this out the multiple times I tried to trade in my car. Make sure you record EVERY voice conversation and get literally everything in writing. that is, if you're dumb enough to read this and still choose to go to this place. As if that wasnt enough, my mechanic was cursing them because they overtightened and stripped everything including the lug nuts and oil filter cap. Go anywhere else.
