Awty International School, founded in 1956, is an independent college preparatory school. It is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and is affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Organization. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its curriculum includes French, English, mathematics, science, social studies, computers, and health and physical education. The sports activities offered by the school include soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, golf and tennis. It also organizes an annual camping expedition, field trips, and after school programs that include supervised study and activities. It provides various extracurricular activities, such as visual and performing arts, yearbook, and science and computer clubs. The amenities offered by the school include science and computer laboratories, art rooms, libraries, dining rooms, basketball and volleyball courts, soccer fields and gymnasiums. Awty International School has a more than 15 acres campus located in Houston.
