So Sad to see one of the oldest and Exceptional leather craftsman businesses retire and close its doors for ever. John Diaz, Eli Ayala Sr. Rose Ayala, & Son Eli Ayala Jr, will be sorely Missed throughout the City, they provided an outstanding service to the community since John Diaz Sr. God bless his sole had started repairing shoes & boots when he was 18 yes old after wrecking his brothers car and having to get a job to pay for the repairs and ended up opening up the village cobbler shoe and boot repair in 1967 the last shop closed its doors just over a year ago they provided services with outstanding results with impeccable craftsmanship for thousands of customers over the decades in my personal opinion I think that They deserve some type of remembrance dedicated to them and their legacy for providing service for so many years for the city. You guys will be missed.

The Village Cobbler is my go-to for all my dry cleaning needs. All thanks to the friendly staff! The result was exceptional. I trust them with my most delicate garments, and they never disappoint.

Provided by YP.comThe shoe repair business has been around since the 1960s my father and mother own this particular shop my father Strives on perfectionism and always has he cuts no corners he makes no excuses he is known as one of the best shoe repairman in Houston he is not like a lot of other shoe repair shops around Houston where the owners know nothing about the business that they own in short they have no idea how to fix shoes they hire people to fix them for them these are what you call coat tail Riders, Business owners to build their hi stature on hired help because they know nothing of their own business if you spend a lot of money on your purses shoes and boots not to mention luggage and just about any other thing you can drag through the front door this is the place to go and has been at this location for almost the past 30 years the other location in town and country is a separate business that is owned by another family member but has nothing to do with this location but also is a Nother wonderful SHOE Shop to go too.
I don't know why this website is listing my name as Scott my name is not Scott my name is Eli Ayala, I am the son of the owners of this business I apologize on this website listing me as Scott

Provided by YP.comThe other reviews have The Village Cobbler (a shoe repair establishment) confused with a fantastic little store next to it called The Villager. Please, please do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money having anything repaired at The Village Cobbler!!! Their "workmanship" is terribly poor and their costumer service is even worse somehow. And if you do choose to ignore this review, please don't make the same mistake I did of paying in advance for the 10% discount. This is a scam to get paid before you see how terrible their work is when you come to pick up your items.
