Saw a car while driving by and thought it would be great for my 18 year old son's first car. It was a red 1997 Saturn SW2. Called to make arrangements to come & look at it. The price on it was $2,000. It needed AC, brakes, tires, a headliner, rear window wiper didn't work, rear power window didn't work an it needed a new rear seat belt. Car drove great though. We offered Red $1,500, he countered with $1,650 & he would fix window and seat belt at cost. We took it out for one more test drive to make sure we didn't miss anything. We were gone about 30 mins and when we came back Red told us that he had redone his calculations and now the price was $1,750, but he would split the difference and let us have it for $1,700. Really, this is how you do business? We were in shock (especially my son as this was his first experience with buying a car). You don't go over a car, agree on a price, and then increase it later. We left and found a much nicer one from an honest seller for him. Nice life lesson, huh. Such a shame because I have heard he does great frame work but if you can't trust someone to be honest, why would you give them your business?
