Provided by YP.comIt’s not every day that I write reviews about businesses, but I don’t want others to waste their time and money at Ivy Dayspa & Nails. My daughter and I requested special designs for our nails, and were told it would be no problem at all. However, all but one of their staff members was capable of achieving the requested design, and she was less than pleasant throughout our experience. The irritated staff member directed her frustrations at my daughter, me, and her fellow co-workers. At one point, she blatantly scowled at co-workers and slammed cupboard doors. My daughter noticed the confusion and hostile body language among the staff members, and understandably felt unsettled. To follow, while my daughter was looking down, the most irritated staff member firmly grabbed and pulled my daughter’s arm towards her so she could start painting her nails. I swiftly drew my daughter into me and made my presence known. Due to a severe language barrier, communicating with any of the staff is nearly impossible. The irritated lady must have noticed how demurred my daughter and I were and from that point on she remained silent. Overall, the quality of my daughter’s manicure was fair; however, her service was subpar to say the least.
I had a full gel set, plus gel polish applied. The staff member helping me struggled with the design and the tip application. Though the staff member was kind, she was difficult to communicate with and poorly skilled in nail art. The paint was sloppily applied; the build up to the tips was bulky and hastily applied. The following day, I went to a different nail salon, had my nails completely redone, but with the same design. I spent two hours at Ivy’s Dayspa & Nails, and an additional 1.5 hours at another salon to fix them. Needless to say, Ivy’s cost me extra money, and time. When I went to an alternative nail salon I could tell by the staff’s facial expressions that my nails looked like an amateur did them and I got ripped off.
DO NOT waste your time or money at Ivy’s Dayspa & Nails. Do yourself a favor and check out other nail spa reviews, you will be much more satisfied if you go somewhere else, plus your bank account will be more plentiful.
