Missions The Missions program of Humble Area's First Baptist Church is embodied in the words of The Great Commission portion of Our Purpose --- "Go...and teach...baptizing them...". Our Mission Objectives are as follows: Bring glory to God. This is our bottom line for missions. We are in the business of helping a lost world recognize and accept The God that created them. Therefore, every aspect of missions involves praying to and worshipping God. Lead our church to recognize Prayer to be our first important action. Any thing we do must have Gods attention so that He can get our attention. Lead our church to embrace the Great Commission. Mission education is essential in developing the heart for missions. Like disciples should, they actively investigate all that the Great Commission means. Then they act on what they learn. Lead our church to engage in the Great Commission. We are to provide opportunities to engage in local and world missions by offering experiences that develop a worldview and kingdom perspective. World Christ followers are day-to-day disciples for whom Christs global cause has become the integrating, overriding priority for all that He is for them. They are missionaries in action. Engaging in the Great Commission around the world changes lives and churches. Lead our church in Mission Giving. The role of promoting mission giving and the proper stewardship of mission funds is centered on our first objective;what brings the most glory to God. The mission team would annually evaluate the effectiveness of our mission dollars and make adjustments when necessary. Assist members while discerning and accepting the vocational call to missions. A by-product from the objectives mentioned above, produces willing hearts responding to the call to missions. As a church, we would provide various means of support including financial or scholarship that will enable families or individuals to serve

My husband and I recently joined a life group at this wonderful God filled church. The people, from the ones sitting in the next pew, to the staff are friendly, caring and a joy to share the worship of our Lord. I am so excited abouta Wednesday night prayer meeting. Glad the preacher likes old hymns. "Meet you in the Morningn"E.
