My son started here in August 2008, and for the most part had not problems outside of the occassional "someone hit me". However, like the other reviewer, more and more he started coming home saying that someone had hit him (naming several different classmates) but when I asked him what happened he always said they were sent to the office. Well all of a sudden, now my son is not doing well as of December 10 2008 and was switched to another class. Per the center, he has become uncontrollable and is now fighting the teachers and students. Well, you know what this is my fault because I should have also listened to my child when he constantly said he was being mistreated. As of Thursday 12-18-08 they threw him out stating that when he was trying to be restrained for acting up at lunch he tried to run out of the daycare. My husband was on the phone with them, and could hear him screaming bloody murder as if they were trying to kill him. He has been in daycare since he was 1 years old, previously at Lapetite and never ever, ever had any of these types of problems. This place is not for young children who are unable to defend themselves. Horrible experience.

Not a fan at all -- My son went here and hated it! He was bullied and came home with bruises all over his shins saying two or three older kids would kick him. He told the teachers and was made to sit alone for taltteling, so I addressed it with the director who dismissed my concerns as "boys being boys". At first I felt that she may be right, but when summer came and more and more bruises appeared on my son, I withdrew him and he started at Texas Sports Ranch in Crosby. It's a good drive away, but TOTALLY worth it!! He loved it, and the bruises dissapeared bc he wasn't bullied. I feel horrible for not listening to my own child and thinking the director of Kid's Place had a clue -- she SO doesn't. Needless to say he hasn't been and will never be back to Kid's Playce. Aside from that, the facility is clean and organized, but the staff is not loving, friendly, or nurturing. Also, if you want to talk with the staff/director forget trying to talk in person -- You should call instead. (If you go in person you'll wait 15 minutes for them to get off the phone and then be interrupted 15 times by other phone calls.) They constantly act like the people on the phone are more important than those standing before them. On that note, when you go to pick up your child, be prepared to wait 15 minutes for them to notify his/her teacher that you are waiting -- they have to get off the phone first bc apparently they don't know what a hold button looks like. I stay home now, so I can't reccomend other daycares in the area -- I just know that this one is absolutely awful.
