I feel sheepish about commenting on the atmosphere since I was in the front room with a noisy party of seven. So I totally empathized with the couple who asked for a different table. Luckily they were accommodated.

On the plus side everyone enjoyed their entrees which were reasonably priced and the service was excellent.

On the downside, the dinner salads contained an unnecessary amount of iceberg lettuce which I find unforgivable in a fine dining establishment. And other members of my party agree that it was a foolish shortcoming.

The only other criticism I have is that while everyone who ordered desserts liked them, they were not listed on the menu, our otherwise excellent waiter never mentioned the cost, and as the one who paid the check...I found them overpriced.

I would definitely come back for dinner with a partner, and recommend La Strada to others. But I would not order the tasty but overpriced desserts.
