This farmers market used to be our favorite place to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables since they opened up for business about 2 years ago, until today (09-05-2013). What small business does not understand is that all it takes is one unpleasant experience at their store and odds are the customer will not return because of that unpleasant experience. The unpleasant experience I refer to involved the male checker at the check out counter. He displayed disrespect towards me and tried to admonish me for moving a shopping cart out of my way at the check stand, having no regard for the customers' feelings he yelled at me in front of other people waiting in line to have their groceries checked. He then snatched my credit card out of my hand, swiped it as hard and quickly as he could, slapped the paper receipt down along with the pen and said to me, sign. This kind of behavior which is unacceptable was referred to by the manager as unacceptable too and he would speak to the male check-out person about exhibiting any kind of disrespect towards the customer. I called the manager after I got home to ask him if he addressed the bad behavior and showing of disrespect to the customer by his employee. He told me he did but got a very simplified and different kind of answer from his employee when his employee explained his side of the situation to his manager. I told the manger that I would not be back to his farmers market ever again because I did not get the friendly service I was accustomed to and because the manager I spoke to about this totally unwarranted verbal attack at his store was not being addressed in a manner that I believed answered my concerns about how his employees treat their customers. Save your time and frustation and shop for your fruit and vegetables at another grocery store that has employees that are trained in customer service. Yes its true you will have to pay a little more money for your groceries but you will not have to put up with bad employee behavior who believe they have the right to say whatever they want to the customer who comes to that specific store. I do not want to be hassled by an employee who believes they have the right to speak to customers with disrespect and managers who do not address the customers' concerns in a timely and proper manner.

Brilliant! Thank you for bringing all my favorite foods close to home in Huntington Beach! And oustanding prices, too! Hard to choose what I like best, but I HAVE to mention the frendly "home town" service!
