We like this place because it is far more authentic Japanese food, not the lame Benihana and those miserable California or is it New Mexico only "Japanese" resturants. To those that knock this place, glad you are happier elsewhere. We think we know a little bit about real Japanese style food, having been to Japan a number of times. There are Japanese restaurants MUCH closer to our home, no thanks, this place is worth the longer drive!!

This place has the best sukiya...

This place has the best sukiyaki around. You know it's authentic when they serve sukiyaki. Not many Japanese restaurants serve this dish. The atmosphere is a tad dark and it's pricey, but the flavor is fantastic and worth every penny.

Good Japanese food

The food is good. Sushi could be a little better though. But overall I liked it. It is a place that I would go again.
