Polly's Pies was founded in 1968 by brothers Eddie and Donald Sheldrake in Fullerton, California. The legacy restaurant company, celebrating 56 years this year, is still family-owned, with Donald sitting on the board of directors and his great-niece, Jacklyn Mitosinka, serving as the company's Director of Brand. We "Won the Lottery at Polly's"

While enjoying our Saturday morning breakfast at Polly's, my son discovered two black bugs in his OJ! We immediately notified the server and she promised to remove the drink off the bill and told my son that finding the bugs in his drink was like "Winning the lottery"!

The bill came, the juice was still on there. I went to pay our bill in full and thought I should speak with the manager Sue. Well Sue didn't apologize. She proceeded to tell me this was 'usual' and 'expected' in restaurants and that she even has bugs in her home. "It's that time of year" she said. Well, I live a few blocks away and for the life of me can't find these bugs in my home!

I was disappointed with her blase attitude and response and told her that she had just lost my business! She rolled her eyes, flicked her wrist as if to say "leave!" and ended the conversation.

Since Polly's says we won the lottery, I wanted to share my "good fortune" with you!

Beware of the bugs! It sounds like they may have a problem and it's 'usual' and expected! But don't worry, they won't charge you extra!

We won't be back!

I LOVE this place!!! "Tasty" is right! They have lots of great tasting, fresh food at reasonable prices. They have a nice selection of entrees, from down-home favorites like meatloaf and rotisserie chicken to burgers and sandwiches to salads. I haven't gone wrong with anything I've ever ordered. THEN THERE'S THE PIES!!!! YUM!!!!!!! The crust is the best, light and flaky, with delicious filling. And there are a ton of types of pies too! (Not sure how many, but it's over 40) My favorite is the Boysenberry, warmed up and topped with a scoop of ice cream. Heaven!
