Huntington North High School, located in, Huntington, Ind., is a public four-year high school, established in 1969. The school is a part of Huntington County Community School Corporation, and provides more than 250 courses and various extracurricular activities. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,800 students. It offers courses in subjects, including history, ceramics, commercial design, crafts, drawing, dimensional art, sculpture, print making, weaving, and computer applications and programming. Additionally, it offers courses in business studies and law, family and consumer sciences, housing and interior designing, textile fashion technology, theater arts, adult roles and responsibilities, and child development and parenting. The school offers honors programs in language arts, social studies, biology, vocabulary studies, math, science, astronomy, meteorology, physics and music. Its foreign language courses include Spanish and French. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular programs, such as quiz teams and musical bands, and has various activities clubs, including dorale, concert choir, wind ensemble and chess club.
