Well, I spent almost 4 months trying to get him to file the proper forms with the courts. I made multiple attempts to contact him with no response, the poor girls that worked his office could only send him messages as one lived in Alaska! I love the office girls but feel sorry for them having to come up with excuses for him. After 4+ months, the court denied me. A few months later, the NDC (National Data Center) changed their website appearance. It was at this time that I noticed a claim from the State regarding unpaid taxes. I called in to the office and informed them that I didn't even live in Indiana the one year and didn't make enough the next to file. After several calls to trustee to see if my "lawyer" had filed the paperwork (which he didn't), I set up an appointment to meet with him. He told me that he wouldn't file the form because he basically didn't believe me. I finally found out what I needed for the courts and spent the next week calling the Florida BMV and re-filing my federal taxes for that year. Something simple turned into a 2+ month long headache. So; here I am December 2016 and once again am having problems. I finally have built up enough money in my life insurance and 403 that I can payoff my bankruptcy a year earlier...yeah!! After I got my payoff amount, I proceeded to get my funds and mail in a cashier's check. I received my "Congratulations" letter from the Trustee's office stating that the bankruptcy was paid off and that a discharged form needed to be signed and submitted. I signed the form on 11/8/16 and faxed it to my lawyer that night. I called a few weeks later to check on the status and found out that it wasn't sent in until the 14th, a week later. I have called every week since and still nothing. Today, 12/6/16, I called the trustees office and was told that the paperwork was just filed by my lawyer TODAY and that it could take 30 to 60 to complete!
