Provided by YP.comI am a 47 year old man with progressive vision loss. I had an eye exam 2 years ago at a different doctors office and was told the i couldn't get corrected any better than 20/70. I went to Tri-State Eye Care and the doctor there got me to 20/40!!! Being as i want to drive professionally I needed to get to 20/40. The exam took about 50 minutes total actual testing time. The longest exam i had at other places was about 20 minutes. About half the tests i had with Tri-State i never had before even with the Army! Give them a try you won't be sorry!

Provided by YP.comI will not be going back to Tri-State Eye Care Center.
I came in as a new patient and was given some incorrect information by an office staff member who said my insurance would pay for another pair of glasses. So I ordered another pair. It turned out the frames were not covered by insurance and Tri-State Eye Care sent me a bill for them.
When I called in and tried to speak with Lisa, a staff member, about the possibility of writing off this bill since I only ordered the extra glasses because the other staff member had assured me they would be covered by insurance, Lisa was quite rude and unpleasant. Not only did she refuse to write off the bill, but she was exceedingly unprofessional in how she spoke to me.
I can forgive the fact that I was given incorrect information by the first staff person, because people do make mistakes. None of us are perfect. But Tri-State Eye Care should have made this right, and they didn't. They just added insult to injury when they were so unprofessional with me during my inquiry.
My doctor was competent and pleasant but that was cancelled out by the other problems I had here. There was no excuse for a member of this office staff to be so surly and rude to a brand new patient.
So I will not be going back here, and I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend them.

Provided by YP.comCalled in advance to ask the price of an exam, I was told it would be $60 for a full exam. Well, after I have the basic things done that I've always had done in an exam, which I'd never paid more than $70 for in my life even without insurance, I was hit with $150 bill. I was told then that the $60 I was quoted was just to see the doctor AND after my insurance paid for $50 of & that everything else considered extra. So actually the price was $200. Then I was told that I wouldn't even get a scrip for my contacts, that I'd have to come back in 2 weeks for ANOTHER visit to get my scrip after I wore a trial pair of contacts. The exact same contacts I've wore for years, mind you, just a different strength. So $150 later & I don't even have a scrip.
