We are having a pellet stove installed and we have researched from the cheapest which have a lot of bad reviews to the most expensive, and since we are learning about this stove type Al. Fireplace Specialties staff have been so patient and willing to educate us, give advice yet still give us time to make our choice. They have taken time to research options that will ensure our efficient unit will look nice as well. They have honored the given quote which doesn't always happen in todays business world, and they include their installation fees with the cost of the pellet stove. Their staff own and operate their products so they do have experience with what they sell. So far doing business with them has been great. It did take a couple days for a call back but that would be expected now that I see how well they take care of their clients, to do that well takes time. From the moment we started researching this is the business that has made us feel welcome as clients so we were not surprised to see that it was a family owned business- we were more than just a number from day 1......New update 2-4-14-From JNSHARRUFF: Our new pellet stove is installed! Thanks AFCS for being patient with us to prepare a place for it! It is 85 degrees in here! We are of course turning that thermostat down but we wanted to see if this Harman pellet stove could do it and yes it can!!! We have never been this warm in the 13 years we have lived here! No more cold expensive electric heat, no more comforters on the couch, no more electric bills more than our house payment and still being cold! AFCS did a great job of installing this and made sure we knew how to operate and maintain it before they left! Thank you soooo much for all you do!

Prompt , yes , good prices, yes . Negligent workmanship , YES . Had a smoke back-up in my stove with the Catalytic OPEN , Lucky for Me I was awake , RAPID filling of smoke in my home . No Offer to check the pipe they installed for blockage , chasing them for a phone response . Hired another contractor to check air flow . He found BURNT Roof shingles and Wood that had fallen down the Pipe blocking My Catalytic Convertor . Very dangerous NOT have covered the Pipe , stopping Debris from falling into the Pipe .

Not real sure what the others are reviewing about but they were very competively priced, and prompt. These others have written the same about every other company other than Chimney professor, sounds like a scam to me. This company is family owned and operated is not part of the fireplace doctor franchise. The analyst is correct though fireplace doctor is very shady.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They promote the best products,offer great advice,and do great work. This company is an independant fireplace company with no ties to any other company.The service was by far the best I've ever recieved.

Very poor workmanship. I was offered a warranty but they keep coming back and problem is not fixed. Used cheap material and charged outrageous prices. Every listing in the yellowpages is Fireplace doctor. Seems really shady business practice.
