Dr. Jay Suggs is a very caring bariatric surgeon. I had a gastric by pass in August, 2010. Within months, I had lost 50 lbs, in about a year, I had lost 100lbs! Unfortunately, my kidneys started failing and it was due to my by pass. My internest and Dr. Suggs, and a nephrologist started taking wonderful care of me. Dr. Suggs consulted with other surgeons to decide what was best for me. He did not want to reverse my by pass. He decided to do a new procedure called the "sleeve". My kidneys have stabilized since that surgery a year ago. I am feeling wonderful and am able to eat almost any type of food without any bad results! Dr. Suggs is very interested in the health of all his bariatric patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering weight loss surgery.
