Quick frustration story: Creekside Family Medicine (located on Franklin Street) Topic Addressing: Dr. Showers' IGNORANT Staff ----

Having difficulty with insomnia for 2 months now. Take a sleep aid, yet it only gives me 2 hours. Frustrating. Finally call Dr.'s office today to see my Gen. Practitioner. We confirm change in Thyroid med. is not the issue. I attempt to make my 4:30 appt. yet due to submitting paperwork for mortgage loan I arrive at 4:40. Office closes at 5. I inform reception, and head nurse: I have NOT slept in 2 months, please let me see the dr. They insist I reschedule since I was the last patient. Head nurse asks me to speak to office mgr. I said. "Fine." Office mgr. says I must reschedule also. I inform her of my lack of sleep. She insists I reschedule. I then say, "O.K. if I do NOT see the dr. today, you will lose not one, but 2 PATIENTS (my hubby). She replies nurses are all gone and Dr. Showers will not see you w/o a nurse. I respond, "I don't need a nurse, I know only a Dr. can prescribe a sleep aid." Offc. mgr., "Yes, but the dr. will not see you without a nurse." "You know, I know I was 10 min. late, however the Dr. never runs on time either. And in this instance I believe he should see me. Again if I DO NOT see him you will lose 2 patients!" She was resigned to the fact that that was alright with Dr. Showers. So I walked out. THE END Fortunately, took "old sleep aid" & went to bed early last night and GOD blessed me with 7 hrs.! YAY! So I am on the mend.
