Provided by YP.comMy issue with the Huntsville National location: emerald card holders can't just go get a vehicle out of the emerald line and leave. You've got to go to the outside office and they pick a car to give you. This takes too much time.

Provided by YP.comTypically have a good experience with this location. Location is good (walk across street from airport). Staff is very friendly. Getting rental paperwork is sometimes challenging as pickup window is cumbersome and confusing as to whether to walk in or not. Sometimes a long line since only 1 person working. Vehicle selection is OK but not great. Easy return.

Provided by YP.comNo hassle at all. I was worry free the whole time. It's like I just sat down in my own vehicle and went to work. Dodge Durango was a nice option for me. Drop off was nice, people were super friendly. I did not try the navigation system because I one of those that looks at a map before I travel so I know where I'm going already. Local radio was fine enough that I didn't even turn on XM. Key FOB was a nice feature, which is the same with my car. Vehicle smelled clean and looked it too.

Provided by YP.comReserved a vehicle at HSV Airport for 5 days. Since I am an Emerald Club Elite customer I always find something I like. NOT this time. When I arrived around 7pm there were seven people in line in front of me. After about 30 minutes waiting I got up to the counter. Agent told me they only had 3 vehicles available, a pick-up truck, a compact Nissan or one other small vehicle. Asked where are all the cars . Was told they are dirty but cleaning some up now. She called the back lot and found a Jeep Lattitude. After waiting 30 more minutes the vehicle arrived. I always inspect the vehicle for damages before renting it and found on rear fender 5 large scrapes. told the agent and made her sign the form which she was not happy about. Also vehicle only had 1/2 tank of gas

Provided by YP.comThe staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My reservation was for a full size car so I was surprised to be offered a full size truck or full size SUV at no additional cost. My GMC Acadia was spotless and had a pleasant new car / fresh leather smell. This location set the bar in both service and selection.

Provided by YP.comWhen I got to baggage claim I see the National Counter with a sign that says Emerald Aisle please proceed to the garage to get your vehicle. When I get out there, the National booth is dark. Every other company including parent company Enterprise is fully staffed. I use this as an opportunity to try the virtual aisle that I had received an email about. However, this was an impossibility because they were t loading cars into it. The app just kept timing out. So after talking to the guy doing the returns, I was told to go back inside. After waiting for many other customers to be helped it was finally my turn. I knew what cars were available outside. The problem was the counter attendant only had the keys to a couple, very limited and unappealing options. I end up with a Ford F-150 pickup. I head out to the garage only to find the truck wasn't even there. It turns out I should have been looking for it at the Alamo aisles. And it only had 3/4 tank of gas.

Provided by YP.comUpon arrival at the National service desk inside th airport, I used the kiosk to speed up the process and not wait in line. I exited the airport to only find another National car rental line outside to get the keys to the car. What was the purpose of the kiosk? The selection of cars were not very good by time I waited in the long line after processing the paperwork at the kiosk.

Provided by YP.comI arrived in Huntsville and went directly to the National Kiosk which was very easy to use. It lead me to the parking garage where National 's booth was and I meet one of the nicest representatives I think I have ever experienced in my life. She gave me options and then gave me an option since I drive a SUV to upgrade which I did. Smooth transition for me from plane to car and when traveling this is something we all want. Kudos to National!!

and for past 2 National customer service is the worst in the business. I made a reservation and went to pick up a car and they didn't one for me I ended up driving my on car. National could care less the only reason I haven't went with someone else is because I don't travel as much. if you are in Huntsville and need a rental car National would be my last choice

Provided by YP.comCar was excellent, but pickup and drop off experience was not. I used virtual pick up to select car. Upon arrival, the attendant could not read bar code on my cell phone with her scanner and this pickup process turned into a 30 minute plus ordeal. At drop off, I was ignored by the attendant scanning in cars and ended up walking into airport lobby in order to avoid long line in the garage. Very disappointing experience for a long time Executive Elite National member.

Provided by YP.comAs an Executive Elite member, My experience at the National Car Rental location at the Huntsville, AL. (Airport) was at best fair to poor. It was winter and I had to wait outside in the cold to be served by the agent. The line was slow, I can't pick my car and go and it is very difficult to communicate with the agent through a glass window with a small speaker. The next morning there was frost on the car's windows and no ice scraper. I have been to Huntsville several times and used National before and it doesn't seem to get better. This location doesn't fit the profile of a National Car rental with Emerald Aisle like in the commercials. If you are in a hurry keep this in mind

Provided by YP.comAs an Emerald Club Executive Member one would expect to walk up and drive away. However, now on 3 different occasions the class of car I reserved was not available and I had to wait for over 30 minutes each time. This will certainly make me think twice before using National again.

Provided by YP.comI couldn't ask for a better experience with a rental car company. I enjoy the benefits of being an Emerald Card Member. Picking up and dropping off was extremely easy. I love being an Emerald member.

Provided by YP.comI am an Emerald Club member for many years and had the worst customer service at the Huntsville Airport. They were more concerned with talking on their personal phone them helping the customers. When they did help they were rude and seemed annoyed that they had to work.

Provided by YP.comI never have any problems with National but I do have a small complaint. Seems as if every car I acquire, the front passenger seat are always pushed back to their furthest position. This is really annoying.

Provided by YP.comI have been an Emerald Club member for many years and had many good experiences however, this last rental was not one of those. The first car I got had been smoked in and several trouble lights came on, the car drove poorly and the brakes grabbed. Worst car I have ever rented. I lost a half day exchanging the car for another which was excellent but the exchange created problems on my return. The agent tried to charge me for a full day when I returned a couple of hours late after I had been told by a national representative I would only have to pay the tax since it was going to the sixth day of a weekly rate.

Provided by YP.comIt had been many years since I traveled to the Huntsville, Alabama airport and didn't recall if my Emerald Card was still in effect. My new company made the reservation. Your agent in the baggage claim area quickly found that it was still effective and sent me to the National Car Rental Booth in the garage. There, everything went smoothly. I returned the car to HSV early on Saturday morning and wasn't sure where to leave the car, since there were no attendants at that time. I dropped the key off inside.
My only complaint is that I was supposed to get an email of my receipt. On Monday, I still hadn't received a receipt, so I called your Emerald Customer Service. I had to hold almost 30 minutes. Your agent looked up my account number and said that she would send me an email in the next 30 minutes. However, with my correct account number, I was able to get online and download a copy of my bill.
