I usually purchase gift cards from the Madison Wal-Mart Store, Madison Blvd, but since I live at South Parkway, I decided to call the South Memorial Parkway Store last month and request $8,000 in gift cards, I was told they would have the cards ready for me, two minutes later the store manager called and said I could only purchase these gift cards with a check or cash. I argued the point with her but told her that was ok that I would just call the Madison Store. I called the Madison Wal-Mart Store and they took my order and said they would have them ready when I got there. Five minutes after I hung up the South Memorial Parkway store manager called and apologized, said she miss spoke and they would process the cards for me. I told her not to bother; I had already called the Madison Store. She told me that in the future if I needed any gift cards to call them and they would process them for me. Today I called the South Memorial Pkwy store to order $10,000 in gift cards and they took my order. Five minutes later I get a call from the same person who took my order and she told me I could only purchase these gift cards with a check or cash. So once again I called the Madison Wal-Mart, Madison Blvd, and they told me they will have them ready for me to pick up at 2:00 pm tomorrow just like I requested. What is the different between these two stores other than bad management. South Memorial Pkwy can't get their act together. The business I work at purchased $24,000 in gift cards last week to give to all the employees for their holiday meals. Guess where we purchased them, "MADISON WAL-MART.
