I took in some salvaged copper, some of which was hand stripped #2 clean, bright copper and only got paid for the bare copper price instead of the clean bright price (.20/ pound difference). When I brought it to their attention, the guy running the place acted like he was doing me a favor buying it at all. I'll never go back there as a result even if I get a lower rate from their competitor. Dishonesty doesn't garner my repeat business. Nor should it to anyone trying to get a fair deal...

If you care about the environment, and don't have recycling pickup at your home/apartment in Huntsville, then this is the closest place to drop of recyclable materials.



All you do is separate your plastics, papers, and aluminum (the only thing they don't accept is glass), then hand them over to the guys that sort things at the large bins. If it's after hours they'll usually put all the bins facing toward the street which each bin clearly labeled with what goes in it.



They also pay you for large quantities of recycling. For instance, a whole trailer full.



The first time we dropped of some recycling here we weren't sure where to do it, but a nice guy guided us to where the bins are.
