My wife and I drove to Hurst DPS/Driver License Renewal office twice last week, once mid morning, and another mid afternoon. Both times we viewed extensive lines outside, so we rescheduled. Today, Tuesday, August 22, 2017 we made an effort to get there at a better time. We immediately were allowed in, sited, and provided information related to completing information work sheet by Marcy Espinoza (very professional, polite, and clearly knowledgeable). We noticed a signed posted stating Max Capacity - 135 on the wall. After about 45 minutes my wife was instructed to get in a center line up for assistance. At this point I observed Marcos Espinoza watching and monitoring attendance. A little later Mr. Espinoza started informing late arrivals to please wait outside due to exceeding room capacity, controlled by local Fire Dept. Protocol, Marcos was calm, very polite, explained clearly why people must wait inline outside due to over capacity. Some were not very polite and down right rude to Marcos. He listened and explained again. Both Marcos and Marcy are very well trained in dealing with public functions and are to be commended for their professional skills. If Tarrant County and DPS actually wants to help their staff to do their job, provide a patio style covering for outside to protect customers from sun, rain. All that is needed is 20 x 20 carport, and some bolted chairs for those outside. Marcos, and Marcy, I intend to do a better job of renewing my DL in future, but if I have to return, I hope to see you again. E. L. Long, JR, Richland Hills, TX 76118
