My daughter will be starting her 4th season at Dance-N-Groove. I found this dance studio about a year after I moved to the area. My daughter always wanted to be a ballerina and loves to dance. What mother would say no to that?
So far, I have not had a negative experience.
This studio offers Ballet/Tap and Jazz/Hip Hop. When my daughter first started, she only wanted to do ballet. At this studio you learn 2 types of dance at a time so she was enrolled in Queen Ballet/Tap. I am glad they do, because my daughter lights up at the end of the year show when she performs her tap dance. She absolutely loves ballet and tap. This will be her 1st season of Jazz/Hip Hop. She is nervous, but she always likes dancing around the house, so I think it will be a wonderful and enlightening experience.
The class groups range from about 2-3 years old- 18 years old. So, your little ones have an older dancer to look up to, as well. The actual classes usually stay within their age range until they advance to higher classes.
The end of the year shows are a ton of fun. I am not going to lie, the dress rehearsal the night before is exhausting …especially if you had a long work day. It usually lasts 4-5 hours. The good thing about dress rehearsal is it’s a show preview for the female dancer helpers. At this time you can take all the video and pictures that you want of your dancer.
The show it self is always a ton of fun. You can see how much the dancers love preforming and how hard they worked during their practices. You can tell the dancers are having a great time preforming.
They also perform in an auditorium, so all the seats in the house are good. We all love watching all the dancers, but the princesses are the most entertaining. (2-3yo)
Ms. Kristen and Her mother are always helpful and professional.
I know my daughter would highly recommend this dance studio, and I would too. She’s happy, learning a lot, and making new friends.
I love how happy she is and how affordable the studio is.
