I used this company twice before (in 2007 and 2009). This was when they charged a set price for any number of hours. The price was reasonable and they were efficient. I recommended them to everyone that I knew was moving. We recently had a move scheduled so I decided to use them again. Now the company charges a price for up to 3 hours and each additional hour is extra. Since they were previously so efficient I decided to use them. It was a very costly regret.

Three movers showed up late. At any one time, not all three of them worked. Two would work and the other would lounge about. There was no sense of urgency in their movement. It was as if they purposefully took their time to increase the price. To make matters worse, they claimed they couldn't get all the boxed in the truck even though there were only a few left. I saw that there was room in the truck and when I protested, I was told there was no way they could add additional boxes. So they ended up doing 2 trips. The cost? $1200. Even with the extra hours, I expected to pay about $600 max.

The entire experience was not a good one and I thought they were dishonest with taking their time to increase the price. I can no longer recommend this company to anyone.

Great with moving items, however, please make sure that if they take apart any of your furniture that they put it back together before they leave your house.

I made this mistake because it was a lot going on during my move. Once I arrived to my new home, I had the Comcast technician at the new home as well to install my services. I even helped Amigo Movers unload my items from the truck (but I guess they don't remember that either).

When I realized that they did not put my dinning room table back together, my husband stated that we could do that on our own. The only problem was they did not leave the screws.

We now have to order these special screws and washers from the company just to have a formal dinning room table to eat on. That is not the problem, the problem is that they are not taking ownership of taking the table apart. Honesty is the best policy.

Amigo Movers has been helping me move for over 5 years now and they have literally made moving a peace of cake ! Last time I moved they charged me $325 for 2 guys and a 24ft truck.. At first I thought 2 guys wasnt enough but once they got here they immediately got to work and got the job done in less than 3 hours, I was highly impressed !
