the trip was a disaster and the boat is a wreck!

Milton, I was on your salmon charter yesterday with you, Cody and the Alabama school teacher. As a customer, I want to give you some input on my experience. We had an overall fairly good time for the $500 that I spent. Some ways to improve the service may be of interest to you as the owner.· Premise 1- paying customers are valuable, you spend $$ on marketing and a website to attract them.· Premise 2 – when customers are happy with the service, they tell other potential customers who then check you out. This all happens for free and costs you nothing. As I see it, there are many options to choose from in Ilwaco and then many more in Astoria for the customer to choose from. When I got off the boat today you asked me if I tipped “Cody the deck hand”, I said no because I was not impressed with his customer service. I think it is your job to pay Cody and not the customer who already has paid for the charter. You said that he deserved it as he makes ends meet with tips

So to go Halbuit fishing on August 5th, 2011. For our top 5 employees reward. No trip pre inspection done on the boat. Just fired it up and loaded up and ready to go. Then told we would have to rotate poles so only four people at a time could fish. Was never told that. Get to the Coast Guard station and the boat is dead in the water due to a transmission releated problem. Well glad that didn't happen when trying to go over the bar cause we could have had a very serious accident. Got towed back to the dock and the lady at the counter maded it seem like we are lucky to get our money back. Well we just had 5 other employees go get fishing licenes, all the food and drink, hotel accomadations for the night before, all the gas money spent to get down there and back and not one bit of effort to give a future discount, pay for lodging. never us Pacific Salmon Charters again
