I have served my country and became disabled in the process. While waiting for my medical decision to come through, I came to a point where I needed assistance. I went to the the Spanish Center in Imlay City. Norma Young first told me she would help with $400 of the $450 rent. Then upon seeing that I received $243 disability check from the VA, she told me that they would on;ly help me with $250. I asked her what I was suppose to pay my utilities with. She then told me that if I could get Loving Hands Clinic to pay for half of my rent they would pay the other half. Then she called Loving Hands and told them not to help me. She said why should they waist their money on me. They have no problem helping illegal aliens or migrant workers. The Spanish Center is constantly asking the American born Hispanics to give their social security numbers and come and sign in to the center as often as possible so the center can receive funding, however they refuse to help these same Hispanics.
The center could improve by helping all the people who come in instead of picking and choosing who they will or will nothelp.

Norma Youngs response was if you're a veteran let them help you. Norma (not American born) obviously has distain for American Veterans who served and allow her the privledge of working in this great country of ours.
