Absolutely do go to Gus's. We are locals and the food is awesome! We usually sit up stairs which is most of the time very busy. We have NEVER had a bad meal EVER and we frequent their quite often. Yes it is a little pricey but they do have great nightly specials up stairs. The only complaint that I have is that they are not open enough days of the week!

Absolutely horrible food. They price their plates like you are in a nice restaurant. Instead, the ambiance is horrible and the food worse. You place your order at a counter and when it is done, they bring you the food. I had the 2 Meat combo plate (Pulled Pork and tri-tip) and my husband had the Tri-Tip sandwich. His sandwich was "shaved" tri-tip. My tri-tip was so tough you could barely cut it with the beautiful plastic cutlery provided (served on black plastic plates). No wonder the tri-tip on my husband's sandwich was shaved. He wouldn't have been able to bite through a regular cut of tri-tip in a sandwich. The pulled pork tasted spoiled and therefore, one bite was enough. As we were leaving, an employee came up to us (first time we were approached after ordering -- even though we were the only customers in the place) , and asked how everything was. When I told him I thought the pulled pork was spoiled, he muttered - "sorry" but didn't ask any other questions or provide any other comment.... .We spent $32 on this meal plus a tip (given before trying the food). Don't waste your money.
