Horrible. I called because I needed a stainless steel tube (EGR tube) modified to fit my vehicle. The receptionist was very polite, she transferred me to "Chris". I explained that I needed an 1/8 flare cut off a steel tube, the nut slipped off and another one put on, then re-flared. He asked if a off the shelf flare wouldn't work. (Well no, if it did why would I need a "Machine Shop") I was confused and checked the description again, IT said "Automotive Machine Shop". I replied with, "No, those only flare aluminum and copper, this is steel. Its really a simple job." (I would do it myself but I don't have a torch to heat the steel up, hence why I called someone who would.) "Chris" give a laugh out loud," Nothing is ever simple, I would have to build something for that, its going to get expensive, My minimum is 67.50 starting out."



Are you serious? the entire tube only cost $87, if it wasn't hard to find I would just buy another. I understand if its too small of a job for you, or you just don't want to do it. I do really, but don't be a jerk on the phone, or make something that can be described in one simple sentence out to be a moon landing.



I am disappointed, a simple "that's too small for what we normally do" would have been more than enough.



A star for the receptionist she was very nice, and a star for him asking about the off the shelf flaring kit... minus 3 for being a jerk and getting cocky.
