Osage Trail Middle School enrolls more than 800 students in grades seven and eight. Located in Independence, Mo., the school is affiliated with the Fort Osage R-1 School District. It has a wide academic curriculum that includes art, English, science, social studies, mathematics and physical education. The school also offers classes in vocal music, communication arts, reading and foreign language. It has a sport department that offers several activities, including football, tennis, volleyball, soccer, softball, cross country, golf, basketball, wrestling, baseball and track. The school s extracurricular activities include student council, indianettes, cheerleading, band, debate, forensics drama and choir.
