These high quality, short-maturity bonds help eliminate the risk of price declines associated with rising interest rates and default risk due to their superb credit quality. Our Balanced Investment is a mixture of the high-quality bonds discussed above and a predetermined percentage of well-diversified, high-quality stocks. The Smart Bear Balanced Investment is for the more aggressive investor, with 85% of the portfolio invested in the same high-quality bonds with an additional 15% investment in stocks that perform well in a declining equity market. Each portfolio offers diversification, liquidity, and complete transparency, without lock-up periods or burdensome fees.
