"Their workmanship is top-notch. Acme Site Works expertise makes the tough jobs look easy!"- Todd Ondrick "Acme Site Work Inc. has consistently shown an amazing ability to be versatile and flexible with any customer changes."- Jim Ricco "Acme Site Work Inc. has completed numerous paving and drainage projects on our campus on time and in budget."- Robert McMaster Acme Site Work was started in 1955 by Alexander Sandy Yacovone. With one dump truck and just a few hand tools, he began his business. At first, Sandy took on some small paving projects, but as time went on the projects grew larger and larger. It was evident, at that time, that a small reliable paving company was needed in the Springfield, Massachusetts area. Although Acme Site Work still paves many small projects, its sights are set on larger commercial and municipal projects as well. As Acme Site Work's fleet of equipment continues to grow, it can honestly say that it is able to tackle any type of site preparation and paving project from the smallest patch job to the largest commercial parking lot or municipal road. Having up to date and reliable trucks and paving equipment is only half of the equation. The other half is the manpower. Acme Site Work is proud to say that it employs some of the most highly trained and experienced men and women who can handle any demanding paving project.Stephen Yacovone is currently the president of Acme Site Work; his wife Maureen holds the position of business manager, while son Nick Yacovone is the operations manager. The Corporation is a family owned and operated business that you can trust and count on for the personal service that you deserve.

Contacted the company for a quote, received a call over a week later on a Wednesday from Steve, he was nice and to the point, gave him the address and was accommodating with my schedule. We scheduled an appt for a quote the next day between 5-5:30. I received a call at 5:03pm from Steve, I was unable to pick up but he left a voicemail stating that he would be there closer to a quarter of 6, as my fiancé was already at the home waiting for Steve I did not think it was an issue. At 6 o'clock my fiancé had informed me that Steve had still not arrived so I contacted their office. THAT is when I started to have issues with the company, a woman answered and I explained to her that my fiancé had been waiting since 5pm, that it was well after 6pm (6:15pm) and asked when he would arrive. She then told me that because I did not call Steve back after he left the message he went to another appointment (what?) and that he would be at our home when he was done. I asked her when she thought that that would be and she could not tell me, she then asked if we had somewhere to go and I told her that I did not know if my fiancé had somewhere to go but I would call to see if he would stay till after 6pm to wait for Steve. She insisted that I call her back with his response to notify her if we needed to cancel.
At 6:30 I called the office back, the woman answered again, this time rudely and not with a greeting acknowledging that I had called a company called Acme. I had informed her that my fiancé would be there but that we were not happy that we had been waiting for a quote since 5pm. She then insisted on telling me that if I had returned the call to Steve then he would have been there already. At this point I was displease to say the least, when someone makes an appointment then reschedule that appt, one would assume that they will show at the time THEY rescheduled right? Knowing that someone would be there from the time they had originally scheduled the appointment. When I noticed the attitude the woman gave me over the phone I told her that a potential customer has been waiting for over an HOUR AND HALF and that this was unsettling and poor customer service. She then asked me if I wanted her to "punish" Steve. I of course said NO but that I wanted her to understand that this was an inconvenience , extremely unprofessional and a waste of our time thus far, she then told me well then don't hire us. I was flabbergasted at her response and disappointed at the customer service I had received. A simple apology would have sufficed. I called my fiancé and informed him that after ALL of the hassle a quote would not be necessary, I would not spend ANY money with this company. BEWARE!! A receptionist speaks volumes about a company's service.
