Provided by YP.comOMG! These people are the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure to do business with. My family has been coming to Indian River for several years and we all really look forward to our annual River Tubing Trip. We were overcharged significantly more than any other year and when we mentioned that the price had gone up the employees and especially the owners not only got totally defensive and insisted that the prices hadn't changed "always been this price" but had the nerve to call us all liars and told us to leave if we didn't like it! Thing is, no one complained. It was a casual comment made by one person and the employees acted as if we'd accused them of treason! It was utterly ridiculous. All we could really do was laugh at their over-reaction and blow it off. -Some people probably having a bad day, no biggie. ...Boy were we wrong! The trip ended up being like something out of some psycho movie complete with employees muttering insults towards us under their breath, dirty looks, subtle threats and purposely making us wait over an hour to be picked up after we had finished the "adventure" only to be told we didn't get our deposit back because of a tiny hole in one of the inter tubes we rented. Thing is, is that the hole was there all along, it just had a VERY slow leak, but it was obvious that prior attempts at been made to repair it - hence the patch that clearly did not work. It was absolutely the most incomprehensible experience ever! Creepy and bizarre! I will NEVER return, and nor will any other members of my family for as long as we live. It's such a bummer when something so cool is ruined by people that are so UN-COOL! Mark my words… Something fishy is going on there and I wouldn't be surprised if someone gets hurt one of these days due to the staff and owners negligence and blatant disregard for their customers. Don't Go! Buy your own tubes from now on and save your money, your sanity and possibly your life! A disaster waiting to happen is the only way to describe this place other than The Twilight Zone! Stay away! Don't trust your children around the Weirdos and Creepers lurking around every corner! VERY Inappropriate. …What a Joke! I wouldn't even give it a one star rating. *Note, Afterward while eating dinner across the street some people overheard us talking about Big Bear Adventures and chimed in with even more horror stories about the owners and their employees. Apparently the entire town steers clear of this place. The only people fooled are the tourists! Just plain WRONG! Yuck!

Provided by YP.comPlease stay away from this place. The owners Scott and Patti A. do not have any respect for paying customers. They verbally forced my niece to buy a hat she tried on and when we refused they threatened to not let her rent a raft. As a result, all 19 of my party demanded a refund and left. Go to Summers Store down the road instead, buy inflatable floaties for under $5.00 and spend the day at Burt Lake. Burt Lake is accross the street from Big Bear. Had so much more fun without doing business from Big Bear. Stay away from this place. There are much more fun things to do while at the same time you can be treated like a human being.
