Founded in 1979, Phillips Drilling is a six-rig drilling operation headquartered in Indiana, Pa. The company has five range 3 RD20 rigs and one RD20 range 2 to drill in tight locations. Each rig is manufactured by Ingersoll-Rand and is equipped to handle depths of 6,000 feet. To ensure efficient production, every rig is supplied with 6,000 feet of drill pipe, a water truck, two dog houses, a bulldozer, fuel tanks, casing handling tools, auxiliary air compressors, boosters and mud pumps. Phillips Drilling drills oil and gas wells in the New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia area, through various depths of mines with lost circulation, and cases mines that have several openings as large as 20 feet. On the average, Phillips Drilling drills more than 300 wells per year.
