Provided by YP.comThis place is horrible, and has gone downhill. The food taste like everything was pre-made then microwave. My family had gone there last Saturday and I admit that I had not been there for quite sometime, but the change in the quality of the service and the food was so drastic. The food was horrible, my brother order the fajitas and the meat looked and tasted as if it had been warmed up more than once. What I had I couldn't finish eating due to the cheese sauce taste like it had came out of a can that had been sitting on the shelf for quite a while and it taste chalky. I will never go back there and the only reason i gave it one star was because it wouldn't post it without a star.....Buyers Beware and stay away!!!

Provided by YPmobileI had gotten on yellow pages and looked up the reviews for this place. I mean, with14 5-star ratings I figured this place would be the bomb! Wow that was so wrong. Our server was slow and pretty inattentive. Our food came out to our table ice cold. What got me was that everything was very bland. The previous reviews say that this is very authentic mexican food... I live in a very small town, and WE even have better Mexican food. I'm not trying to bash it, just thought I'd warn anyone curious to go. Their salsa was sweet which is different for me. It definitely does have its own flavor, but the chips were very hard and the ones that were somewhat chewable were just plain greasy. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I would go to Taco Bell for good Mexican food over this one. I gave it two stars, because the busboy did a great job of never letting our drinks get low.

Provided by YP.comInteresting, the recent negative comments. They're not from me! Joe's changed hands a couple of years back but the new owner seems to be dedicated to continuing what Joe had going. I've honestly been there probably 100 times in the last 20 years and consider it to be much, much better than any of the "chain" Mexican restaurants. The salsa does come in a squeeze bottle but has the best flavor going. Never had a stale chip or a cold dinner in all this time. When I started going I got a menu and actually tried every item they offer and liked them all. (Except for a burger and fries. Who would go to a Mexican restaurant and order a burger anyway?) Portions are good, prices reasonable and plates too hot to touch keep the food warm to the end. They are working on the decor so give 'em a break on asthetics at the moment. Help has always been friendly and reasonably quick.

Provided by YP.comI patronized Acapulco Joe's Nov 2007 and it was delicious. As soon as I walked in the door I was seated. I was asked immediately what my drink order would be. Since I was waiting on additional diners I did not place my food order right away. As soon as the other diners came, they immediately came to the table and took the drink orders, allowed time for us to decide on food orders, etc. The waiters and waitresses were very attentive, we were served quickly, they checked periodically to see if we needed anything through out the meal. The service is great, the food is great and the location is great!!!
