Established in 1966, Hawthorne Elementary is a community school, focusing on student's achievement. Based in Indianapolis, Ind., the school runs kindergarten through grade four classes. Hawthorne Elementary provides opportunity for several sports activities, including basketball, baseball, football, soccer, wrestling and swimming. The school houses Hawthorne Community Wellness Center, staffed with a nurse practitioner, counselor and receptionist to meet the medical needs of the students, parents and community members. Hawthorne Elementary is a part of the Metropolitan School District of Warren Township.
