Review of KAT’s Tree & Landscape



On 9/29/15, I contracted with Mike and Harold Rodenberger, KAT’s Tree & Landscape, to install sod in the side yard of our Indianapolis home and then to sprinkler for 30 days to make sure the sod became well rooted. The contract price was $550 and a $300 deposit was paid for the work to begin the following week.



Initial work was performed to clear stepping stones and landscape cloth, but the project became stalled. After repeated followup, Mike Rodenberger promised that the work would be completed by Tuesday 10/27/15. As I was out of town and wanted to complete payment when the project was finished, I sent the balance of $250 to Mike Rodenberger on 10/25/15. While the work was never performed, the check was received and deposited, clearing my bank on 11/06/15.



Followup with Mr Rodenberger to complete the work resulted in promises that were never honored. On 11/19/15, I texted Mr Rodenberger that as the house had been sold and the buyer did not want the sod, we could cancel the project.



Since that time, I have been trying to contact Mr Rodenberger arrange a refund for the part of the money paid for work never performed. Mr Rodenberger has refused and is not responding to phone calls or text messages.
