Lynwood Elementary School has enrollment of more than 500 students in grades first through fifth. The school provides education in a variety of subjects, including mathematics, social studies, science, computer, English, arts and crafts, music and physical education. The school offers a variety of special education classes for talented and gifted students. It has a library that houses a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, picture dictionaries, biographies and reference material. The school has several facilities, such as a playground, cafeteria and computer labs. Its parent-teacher association is active in fund raising and organizes special school activities and a parent volunteer program. Located in Indianapolis, Lynwood Elementary School is affiliated with the MSD of Decatur Township.
