lmao

I'm here to help you out with some of the problems you may have with pick a part. #1 you pay a 2 dollar entry fee for going into the yard. Come on people its 2bucks lol yeah, you'll be a couple bucks shy of gettin a mocha latte Frappuccino. and let's be real you go out to the yard looking for a headlight and you end up coming out with the door, fender and the headlight for under 250 dollars.#2 I can understand the inventory problems but if it's 76 degrees outside you have nothing else better to do it's a nice day for a walk right? it goes back to number 1 if you know they don't have something are you going to go look and find the treasure that you didnt know u were looking for?# 3 customer service lol I'll leave that 1 to you.#4 loaders do not touch the yard before after 8 or before 6 so I don't know what he's talking about about a car being snatched away from them while they're working on it. to sum this all up pick a part is a great place an a money making opportunity for everyone. yeah you might come across a few Rotten people from there but just because you find a bad grape in your bag doesn't mean you quit eating them right?

Great concept, stupid implemen...

Great concept, stupid implementation. Go to Pull-A-Part, at least they know what they have. I am surprised Pick-A-Part knows they even have cars and trucks in the yard. I've been purchasing parts from junk yards for over 30 years and until now, never been to one that didn't know what was in the yard. They charge you a non-refundable $2.00 fee to look around the yard and the moron's don't know what they have in the yard. Now this is supposed to be a modern clean junk yard. What a waste of time. It is one thing to not be able to tell if you have a part, it is another to not even know what vehicles you have. I've seen everything from off the top of their head to 3x5 cards, but at least other junk yards know what vehicles they have in the yard. Pull-A-Part knows what they have in the yard and you can search online. So you know if your vehicle is there before you pay the cover charge. Pick-A-Part is a ripoff from the get go. Pick-A-Part is also more expensive on parts. Check the price list between the two. I don't work for Pull-A-Part, just have had good experiences there. One of Pick-A-Part's excuses is that they rotate cars all the time. Well, so does everyone else in the junk yard business. That's why we have computers or even 3x5 cards or the old guy yelling out, hey that is in the back corner. How ignorant can a business be?

The new Pick-A-Part motto:

If you have two bucks and time to waste, come on down. I think we have cars and trucks in our yard. Looked like it when I drove in.

Or you could buy a lotto ticket or two and at least get a piece of paper. Might even win some money.

Poor costumer service, and interupting me alot.

i was calling about an inquiry on some simple parts. and when i did the lady sounded like she was super hyper and every time i went to say something she just kept on yammering. Ive been here once before and i received mediocre service. but i would not recommend this place much because when i went all i was looking for was a mirror, 2 tires, and a headlight. it was hard to find them for 98 Monte Carlo. i even looked for similar year Chevy cars and they were very difficult to find. also it takes a mindset of a 6th grader to take inventory as you receive new product. this company needs to get its stuff straight. im not going here ever again and im telling all my friends and family to never go here.

guy driveing the laoder was an jerk at pic a part

I have had 3 weeks to calm down after my encounter with their forktruck driver that picks up cars out of the yard and takes the cars and trucks to the crusher.

I was out at pic a part on the westside off 16th st around the 1st of Sept and have been down there around 7 other times and went out in the yard and found a 95 F250 4X4 truck that had a front Dana 60 straight axle and just checked the gear ratio and was beside the truck getting my tools out and this was around noon time and and knew that i would get it out in less than an hr.

I removed the front brake line and suddenly i heard the loader comeing around the corner.

The driver of the loader may have not seen me from where i was so i got up and moved my tools and he put down his forks and grabbed the truck i told him Hold on i'm takeing the front end out of the truck you just picked up and he told me i was 2 late and it was going to be crushed.

I was freaking out because a straight axle dana 60 is really hard to find in a mid 90;s truck and that was the only one i have seen out there and i asked him if he could just move it someware so i can get it out and he could take the other cars and he could pick it up in about an hr and he said (your out of luck find another one)

So I picked up my tools and walked threw the building and passed the casheer and walked by the front counter and told the lady up there that i found the part i needed and the yard guy driveing the loader took the truck while i was removeing the part and would not set it back down, she laughed and said Oh he must be having a bad day, I then asked to see the manager because i knew the truck was not crushed yet being only 5 minutes and she told me that he was not avalible.

Then being a jerk she handed me a $1.00 off my next visit and i told her to keep it because I would never return.

Good Deal!

Clean Junk Yard, Lots of Cars, ok, so they don't know if they have a Part there or not, what part of Junk Yard don't you understand? it's like a Yard sale, you look, if you find what you want, you get it, if not you go to the next Yard sale, and look again! They had some of what I needed, but didn't have the Engine part I was looking for. looked like the Good engines had already been pulled by someone. and they had Mobile Hoists availble to Pull Engines, I saw several in use while I was there, easy access to the cars, with 99% of them sitting up in the air for easy access to Wheels and brake parts! 2$ was not a bad price to go shop, just wish they had the Main part I needed, although they did have 8 of the Cars the part might have been on!

What a ripoff !!!

After driving cross town I was told that they did not track their inventory and there was no way to tell if the part I wanted was there also$2.00 yard entry fee fo me to look for myself. I was told that if I did not find my part I would get $1.00 back. After looking for almost a hour I was not able to find what I needed I decided to leave. Upon leaving I was given a coupon for a $1.00 off my next visit not my money back. I think this nothing but ripoff. It doesn't take more than a 5th grader with a computer to track inventory and I should not be charged for nothing. I will not be returning and will tell all my friends that this place is nothing but a ripoff.
