Provided by YP.comMost horrific experience in the ER! I had a miscarriage, the staff was very uncomforting, condescending and made me feel as if it was nothing.

Provided by YP.comBad place. Female nurses in the operating room are perverts. Peeking under male patients gown.
Leave you waking up freezing with no blanket.
When you wake up from surgery they are yelling at you to get up and walk over there to the wheelchair. Just after you had knee surgery.
A very bad place to be!!!

Provided by YPmobileWORST hospital EVER. The doctors are incompetent and treat every patient like their cattle and herd them in and out of their offices. No bedside manners.. could go on and on

Provided by YPmobileGood luck in the MyLearning team. You let everyone go that knew anything. Then you have cr and sw and pretending they know how to pick up the pieces. Good luck. They must be friends of Brian. That seems to be the thing you need for people who have no clue to be doing the job.

Provided by YP.comHealth care workers are treated horribly there. We felt so sorry for them. Low pay, and being forced or be fired or take that poison flu shot by nazi like management. Some clinical director in Psych was so rude to the staff and us that i had to keep my son from getting out of his chair.
I was so angry i went home and posted this. Hopefully this will help the staff there. As an attorney, i dont deal with labor or vaccine issues but this hospital at the top has issues! The staff with the exception of that clinical director were great. Sorry they have to deal with that. My son is doing much better. So if you are a staff there, ill leave you with these options. Provided by YP.comI went to Comm. N. to have surgery and it was a terrible experience to say the least. Gee where do I start? Before the surgery I asked the doctor to pray w me because I was very scared and she told me, "no", she would not, but would stand there w me while I prayed. REALLY? I guess she didn't believe in God, which even made it more scary to me. Then when I asked for something to help me relax, she also said, "NO", but she would give me something to help me sleep. Come on! Not off to a good start. Then the next day, I would have to say the first nurse that took care of me, did ok, but the nurses after her couldn't have been less compassionate!! Any of them! I even had one nurse tell me she would not, could not, help me out of bed, because she was pregnant. I guess being in her 3rd trimester got in the way of doing her job!!!!! Even though I just had a laparatomy done, and had a 6 inch horizontal incision on my lower abdomen, REALLY??? I cried and pleaded with her to help me and she declined once again and said to me, "you have to it on your own sooner or later".!!!!!! I could not believe my ears, When my husband returned to the hospital I told him how bad I was being treated and he was completely beside himself and insisted to speak w my doctor and honestly I don't think anything was done about it! They gave me some pain med's and it was too strong for me and I was having a severe allergic reaction and started itching the skin off the back of my knees, so I asked for a benadrill and the nurse acted like a was asking for more pain med's and absolutely wouldn't help me. I was so miserable! I had other bad experiences their too and decided I would only go to St. Vincent's from that point on, anytime I had to have surgery or needed medical attention and have many times and have never, not once had a bad experience there. The doc's and nurses @ St. V's are the best and very compassionate! That's where I tell anyone I know to go if they need to!

Provided by YP.comPlease note that I have had no issues with the medical staff at the hospital, however I wish you the best of luck dealing with the wretched people on the billing staff. I set up monthly payments in June 2011, I called to make my second payment in July on a card that I don't use often. They entered a bad zip code so the charge was declined, they never called or contacted me they just cancelled my payment plan. I called in Aug 2011 to make my third payment and was informed that I was a month behind, they even admitted that it was due to them inputting a bad zip code. So I set up the plan again and made a payment, this time on my debit card so that I could make sure it posted. They called the next day to say the bank was declining the charge and implied it was due to insufficient funds and that I would have to contact the bank to figure out why it was declined. I assured them that I had well over the amount of funds needed ot make the charge and when I called my bank they said that they were not declining it. I called the billing department to discsuss and was told again that it must be due to insufficient funds at which point I asked to speak with a supervisor who told me that sometimes the electronic charges declined and they weren't sure why but that she would push a new charge through manually. She assured me that the first charge would not post to my account so I had the second payment processed. Checked my account the next day and the first charge posted and I had the second charge pending. So I called back and was again told that the first charge had been declined and that I would have to prove that it posted. I faxed documentation of the charge and have not yet heard back from them. I have never in my life dealt with more incompetent people

Provided by YP.comMy husband was taken to Community North after a serious injury. He was in the hospital for quite some time. I sat and watched as his call light went off for twenty minutes with no answer. He was in severe pain, yet the call light was not effictive nor was me letting a staff member know in the hallway. The nursing staff were too busy at the desk talking about all the other patients on the unit and what they did and did not like about them and how they thought their symptoms were much too mild to be admitted to their hospital. By the time my husband was discharged I learned about every patient there, not to use your call light or you would be treated with the upmost disrespect, the nurses complained of being short of help-no excuse in my eyes-especially when they are hanging out at the nurses station, and the impression that the hospital was much more intereseted in how much money they could use to build more units than focusing on a staff that is compasionate and actually cares about the quality of care being provided within their facility. My husband was not even given the appropriate meds, yet since he could not walk due to his injury we were scared to say anything because of the vengence he would be given if he upset one of the staff. I think the ISDH should dig deep, go undercover, and actually take a look at what is going on in the inside and not look at how pretty the outside seems to be. I hope that me nor anyone that I love is taken to a Community Hospital.
Invest in your employees and not what kind of coffee stand you can place in the lobby.
