Provided by YP.comPlease do not live here! I lived at the Villa Paree Apartment Complex 2.5 years. In the beginning and for about 1.5 years, I was generally happy living there. It was never a special place with beautiful landscaping and great amenities, but it was fine. It was exactly what I needed during that stage of my life. I decided to resign my lease when it was time. I signed for 14 months to get special pricing.
Everything seemed to be going along fine until about the May of 2011. All the sudden my maintenance requests weren't answered, leaving surface mold in my bathroom and wet ceiling tiles for a few weeks. I started talking to neighbors at that time about car break ins and there were a few apartments that also had intruders. At this time, I should have broken my lease, but it was going to cost me $1200 two months rent (so over $2,000) to leave. During the summer they seem to catch the guy that was committing the crime and for a few months, things seemed to get back to normal, safety wise, but I just gave up on maintenance. In November 2011, I walked out to my car on cinder blocks.
Management did nothing to help me in my situation, no one offered me a ride or any support. Even though I was parked in my paid for carport, that didn't make them responsible at all. After loosing and entire day at work and $1200, I was able to drive my car again after friends helped me out. Three weeks later, I walked out to both of my front windows smashed in and my ignition ripped out. Again, management did nothing because they had done everything possible to prevent this from happening $800 later, my car had to be dragged from my carport, had new windows and a new home away from Villa Paree.
During my time dealing with management during the second incidence, I learned that at 3am one of the maintenance guys closed my trunk, but somehow didn't think it was necessary to notify me or even look at my car because at that point there was glass EVERYWHERE. Somehow even though management had done "EVERYTHING possible" including providing "carports with great lighting for safety," he didn't notice that my car had been vandalized. This employee still works for Villa Paree and management company never provided condolences to me or the other four victims that had their cars vandalized on December 15, 2011.
My break-ins are only two of the MANY in this apartment complex. The apartment complex refused to work with me and let me out of my lease three months early without financial penalty. In order to ensure my safety and that my car wouldn't be subject to vandals any longer, I was forced to move out and continue paying rent until the end of my lease. I now wish I would have paid the $2000 in the summer of 2011 instead of continuing to live there and eventually paying that money to be able to drive my car.
Overall, please take my advice and do not move in to Villa Paree or any property managed by Muesing Management. They clearly do no care about their tenants or the safety of their property.
