I was agast at the way I was treated on Thursday July 22nd. I entered the White Castle to get change as my daughter had been transferred to Methodist Hospital. She is pregnant and they thought she may be in need of an appendectomy. I was the only Caucasian in this particular White Castle and was treated by staff as though we were back in the 1960's before desegregation. Four customers were waited on before me, I had to wait for a "trainee" to make coffee and all I wanted to purchase was a cookie to get change so my car would not be towed. The stares were many and they appeared to be stares of disgust that a white person would actually have the nerve to be in this particular White Castle. I spoke to a manager and she assured me that this trainee would be spoken to and apologized to me. I think this trainee should apologize because she is the employee who made me feel to be less than a human being. I thought we were over all this bigotry. In the great word of Rodney King..."Cant we all just get along"?
