Whittier Elementary offers education to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It provides classes in art, band and physical education. The school also provides education to students with various learning disabilities. Additionally, it provides a Title-I program and services for at-risk students. Whittier Elementary is a part of the Indianola Community School District, which covers an area of more than 100 square miles and provides educational services to more than 3,200 students. The district also provides before and afterschool childcare programs. Additionally, the district provides food and transportation services to member schools.
