One of the first round libraries, the Leanna Hicks Public Library of Inkster was dedicated September24, 1960 by New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller (future 41st Vice-President of the United States). Located on a hill overlooking a forest and river, its floor-to-ceiling glass walls are just one of the reasons why architect Kael Nelson considered this beautiful building his greatest work. The Leanna Hicks Public Library of Inkster became a City of Inkster Public Library on July 1, 2010. Leanna Hicks Public Library of Inkster is a member of The Library Network.
