Farmers Cooperative Society is a farmer-owned cooperative serving northwestern Iowa farmers. It owns and operates agronomy, confinement, feed and lumber divisions. The cooperative s feed division is ISO 9001/2000 certified for micronutrient and mineral blends. It provides grain banking, feed contracting, cost budgeting, record keeping and closeout services. The cooperative also offers assistance in feedstuff sampling, ration balancing and formulation, and manure and environmental resources management. Farmers Cooperative Society has two-shift mill operations and provides open lots for backgrounding and finishing. It features concrete floors with flushing systems and also maintains a delivery fleet. The cooperative additionally offers rations for swine, beef and dairy operations. Established in 1907, Farmers Cooperative Society is associated with the Chicago Board of Trade. It maintains several facilities in Little Rock, Sioux Center, Boyden, Melvin, Ritter, Sanborn and Ireton, Iowa.
