Provided by YP.comThird attempt. Estimate indicated 4 days; not ready till end of following week (11 days). The Maaco shop in Irving had indicated the paint for the Hood and roof on the Ford ranger was complete on day 9. I had expected at least a semi professional paint job but work was very amateurish. When I examined the work there was a lot of debris in the clear coat and unacceptable. There was a lot of orange peal in the clear coat on the lip of the hood. The shop said the could buff out the defects (both hood and roof). There is also still overspray on the front bumper cover, nice tape stripe but not covered properly. Also a cute little triangle on upper passenger door where masking improper allowed base and clear coat. The shop was also to install and adjust new headlight lenses. The lenses were installed improperly and not adjusted; I had to remove and readjust (using the old lenses as guide) for preliminary aiming and reinstall correctly. The buffing helped the appearance of the paint. The lack of quality control involving ready call plus the improperly installed lights, overspray and unwanted paint on door makes this a poor experience. I could not recommend Maaco in Irving to my friends nor see me returning for additional work. I hope the paint performs better. Not all was bad though, the people were friendly, price matched estimate and the did try to correct the clear coat issues.
