My (only) 15 year old furnace has crapped out each of the past 3 winters. In 2016 when I made a service call on a Saturday morning, a tech was relatively quick to respond. He competently diagnosed the problem as my main board and replaced it. In 2017 I placed a call on a Sunday morning when my furnace would not start. I placed several more calls on that same day, and was told that the tech got the messages and would be out. They never showed an I had to send my wife and kids to a family member's house for the night. I called as soon as they opened on Monday and received an apology for the mixup. A tech was out within an hour. He made two trips that day. After the first part he replaced did not fix the issue he replaced the main board again, which solved the problem. Then on Saturday 2/3/18 i woke up to my furnace not working again. I called at 830am and explained that I had my 2 young kids and a pregnant wife in the home with no heat, and asked for a tech to be sent out. I was told that I would be a "priority" given the circumstances. I called again at 130pm and 330pm. I never heard back and they never showed. I did get a very brief call on Monday morning asking if my furnace had gotten fixed. I told them that I had and that was the end of the call. The company I did get to come out diagnosed the problem as a bad main board (again), and pointed out some rust indicating that my compressor was leaking and water was dripping through onto the board, causing the problem. That rust was noticed by the Germek Tech in 2017. We discussed it and I was told that it was not a big issue. I have chosen to have the other company install a new furnace. Germek does admittedly have good prices, but really should not advertise as being 24 hour service when they disregard weekend calls 2 out of 3 times. I was extremely disappointed and will not be giving them an opportunity to do work for me in the future.
