The Main Street School of Cosmetology is a brand new school that is centrally located in historic downtown Ishpeming, in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.We offer programs with The State of Michigan licensing in Cosmetology, Manicuring, Esthetics, and Instructor. Our school is locally owned and operated by Mrs. Rose Strom, who has more than 50 years experience in the cosmetology industry as a stylist, salon owner, and instructor. During this time Mrs. Strom served and chaired for three terms on The State of Michigan Board of Cosmetology. We have an experienced staff who are dedicated to providing the students with the best training possible in a fun, professional environment. Each student is treated as an individual, with their own strengths and talents, personal creativity is very much encouraged. Prospective students are encouraged to stop by the school for a tour of our facility, to meet the staff and visit with our admissions coordinator.

Here at The Main Street School of Cosmetology we offer a variety of hair care products. If we do not have what you are looking for, we will order it for you. As for services, we are a full service salon that offers Hairstyling, Haircuts, Perms, Colors/Highlights, Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, and Waxing. All work is performed by students attending the school.
