Cornell Cooperative Extension is an outreach program of the Cornell University, which offers several specialty programs and services for educational improvement of the communities in the state of New York. Started in 1914, it offers research and development for the farmers and rural families. The program serves urban, suburban, town and rural areas through several customized services. Cornell Cooperative Extension implements programs in the areas related to agriculture and food systems, children, youth and families, community and economic vitality, and environment and natural resources. In addition, it offers improvement services for the visibility, coordination, professional status and resource base of community and economic development.
